Join a Pool Table

Log into your ap66 account, navigate to the Pool Rummy lobby, and select a table with a buy-in that matches your budget. Tables are available from ৳50 entry up to high-roller ৳5,000 buy-ins. Each table seats 2 to 6 players.

Understand the Objective

Your goal is to arrange all 13 cards in your hand into valid sequences and sets — and to do so before crossing the pool's penalty point ceiling. A valid declaration requires at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (no joker).

Draw and Discard

On each turn, pick a card from the open deck or the closed deck, then discard one from your hand to the open pile. Use this cycle to build sequences and sets progressively. Watch what your opponents pick from the open deck — it reveals what they need.

Form Valid Sets and Sequences

A sequence is three or more consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 4♠ 5♠ 6♠). A set is three or four cards of the same rank but different suits (e.g., 7♠ 7♥ 7♦). Jokers can substitute any missing card except in a pure sequence.

Declare When Ready

Once your hand is fully arranged into valid groups, discard your final card to the finish slot and press Declare. ap66's system validates your hand instantly. A valid declaration scores 0 points for that round; an invalid declaration incurs an 80-point penalty.

Survive Until the End

After each round, penalty points are tallied. Any player reaching the pool ceiling (101 or 201) is eliminated. The final remaining player wins the prize pool minus ap66's small platform fee. Winnings are credited to your ap66 wallet instantly.

Build Your Pure Sequence First

Before anything else, focus on forming your mandatory pure sequence (no joker). Without it, you cannot declare under any circumstances. Once the pure sequence is locked, everything else becomes more flexible and less stressful.

Discard High-Value Cards Early

Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Aces each carry 10 penalty points. If they are not fitting into a sequence within the first few turns, let them go. One unmelded Ace held across five rounds adds 50 points to your tally — that is halfway to elimination in a 101 Pool game.

Watch the Open Discard Pile

The cards your opponents pick up from the open pile reveal exactly what sequences they are building. If you see a player picking up the 8 of Hearts, avoid discarding the 7 or 9 of Hearts — you would be feeding their hand directly.

Use Jokers on High-Point Cards

Jokers are best deployed to complete sequences or sets containing high-value face cards. Using a Joker to complete a set of Aces saves you 30 points instantly — far more efficient than using it to plug a gap in a low-value sequence.

Know When to Drop

A First Drop in Pool Rummy costs only 20 points. If your opening hand has no pure sequence potential and several high-value isolated cards, dropping immediately and taking 20 points is often smarter than playing a bad hand and risking 60 or 80 points mid-round.

Track Opponents' Point Totals

In Pool Rummy, the cumulative scoreboard is always visible. Keep an eye on which opponents are approaching the ceiling — once they are eliminated, the game dynamic shifts and you can play more aggressively or defensively accordingly.
